Not very traveler friendly with management and some staff. Usually try to put the travelers together and just hammer them with patients. Majority of "rooms" are beds with curtains. On average there can be 5-10 ambulance in the bay with patients. If there are no rooms, ambulance crews stand in the hall to wait for a bed. There is an assigned "ambulance hall bed" nurse. This facility is Level 1 for the desert aspect of L.A. county. When trauma patient is stabilized by the team, patient more often given to a traveler, which is expected to continue the paper charting. Psych POD and Green POD are separated from the main ER. Can take shortcut through a walkway outside from those 2 PODS to get to the main ER. Psych pod is 8 beds that are not separated by any curtains. Psych provider is slow to assess patients. Can be sitting on patients for hours. I would HIGHLY recommend any nurse to NOT go work at this facility. If you work at this facility, you are putting your license on the line.
